Miguel Lamas (Ferrol/Spain, 1993) is a Latin Grammy Award winning drummer and playing drums already from 4 years old.
Since the childhood he has related not only to the world of live music but also studio session. His first show was at the age of 6 in his town. Two years after that, he did his first remunerated show playing some rock & roll music. With the money earned he bought a “Ramones” t-shirt. After that time, he discovered the music of Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Dave Weckl Band… and his love for the world of jazz fusion became obsession.
At the age of 14, he did his first tour around Europe, with a band called BellónMaceiras Quinteto, playing in some of the biggest folk & world music festivals. Around the age of 16 began to sing his first endorsements deals and played on some drum festivals around Spain.
After a few years, Miguel has become one of the top drummers of the new generation. He has played in some of the biggest drum festivals around the world like: Meinl Drum Festival (Germany) The UK Drumshow (Manchester) Bag’Show (Paris) TamTam Drum Festival (2015/2019), Alteisa Drum Festival, Galician Drumming Festival, La Rioja Drumfest (Spain) Drum Festival Switzerland, Meinl Drum Day / Scottish Drumming Festival (Scotland) Porto Drumshow (Portugal) Musik Produktive Mess (Germany), NAMM Show (USA) Pearl Drum Day (Venlo, The Netherlands) …just to name a few, in addition to many clinics around Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Argentina, Perú…

He has recorded with some of the biggest name in flamenco music like guitarist Vicente Amigo (sharing credits with other amazing musicians like Marcus Miller on bass) or the album Galaxias of Niño Josele where he has the amazing honor to recorded with Chick Corea.
He has won a Latin Grammy Award and has been nominated 3 more times, and also nominated to an Grammy.
Miguel also produces music for different artist and bands around the world from his studio.
He is currently touring around the world with one of the biggest artist in latin culture: Melendi, playing in from of thousands of fans every night.
