Born in Santander, she studied with M. Carra at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid where she obtained the Superior title and was awarded the first price.
Scholarships of the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Philharmonia Orchestra of London, the Leverhume Trust and the Ministry of Culture Spanish, Patrín continue the studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with F. Wibaut; with J. Colom at the University of Alcala de Henares and D. F. Solter and Varsi at the Musikhochschule of Karlsruhe.
She makes courses and meetings with numerous musicians like P. Badura- Skoda, J. Achúcarro, V. Perlemuter, B. Canino, V. Margulis, D. Bashkirov, F. Rados, or MJ Pires, among others.
She has given solo and chamber recitals in Spain (Real Theater, National Auditorium, Palau de la Música Catalana, Valencia Auditorium, Palais des Festivals of Cantabria, Teatro Calderon de Valladolid ...) and in other European countries (Germany France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, Hungary, Greece ..). it has also made in Canada, within the framework of the Great Romantics Festival and Colombia, invited by the University of the Andes.
She has worked as a soloist with various European orchestras including the Bundesjugendorchester, Munich Symphony Orchestra, Bach Orchestra of Moscow and George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra of Bucharest as well as the JONDE and Reina Sofia Chamber Orchestra.
She has made recordings for National Radio of Spain, Westdeutscher Rundfunk, Süddeutscher Rundfunk, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and Poseidon Films. In 2006 she participated in the recording of the complete piano sonatas of Mozart, which were published by the Autonoma University of Madrid.
Particularly interested in teaching complements the artistic activity through his classes at the Conservatory of Music of Salamanca in which it holds a professorship since 1994. She is invited each year to teach Master-Classes, courses and workshops in many Spanish cities ; Active courses Music and the international music academy Forum Musikae. Also at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota and the Sommerakademie the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Patrín Garcia Barredo is piano professor in the University Alfonso X el Sabio of Madrid.
