High School of Music Forum Musikae

Born in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz), he studied music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Badajoz, where he graduated with highest honors in Clarinet and Chamber Music

He then furthered his clarinet studies by attending courses in Spain, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Portugal with professors such as José Luis Estellés, Anthony Pay, Yehuda Gilad, Joan Enric Lluna, Johannes Peitz, Johannes Enric Lluna, Johannes Peitz, and Esther Georgie. He also attended the Musical Specialization courses organized by Aula de Música at University of Alcalá de Henares with professors Ferenc Rados and Imre Rohman.

Member of the Duo Op. 120 with pianist Guadalupe Rey. The duo won the 2nd and 3rd prizes in the first two editions of “Concurso de Jóvenes Intérpretes Pedro Bote”.

In 1999 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra in Germany, working under the baton of conductors such as Cristoph Eschenbach and Mtislav Rostropovich, and giving concerts in Germany and The Netherlands

He has collaborated with different orchestras, such as Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Orquesta de Extremadura, Orquesta de Córdoba, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León as well as with the “Taller para la Interpretación de la Música Actual” TAiMA-Granada, under the baton of Josep Pons, Salvador Mas, Víctor Pablo Pérez, Vasily Petrenko, Rubén Gimeno and José Luis Estellés, among others.

Member of the group “Sonido Extremo” since its creation in 2009. With this group, devoted to the interpretation of contemporary music, he has participated in concerts in Badajoz, Madrid, Lisbon, San Sebastián, Santander, Bilbao, Valencia, Santiago de Compostela, Tres Cantos, etc. in cycles of contemporary music and premieres of composers such as Jesús Rueda, José Rio-Pareja, Mauricio Sotelo, José María Sánchez Verdú Sotelo, among others.

Since 1998 he helds the position of Professor of Clarinet at the Music Conservatory Bonifacio Gil of Badajoz.
