He was born in Campo de Criptana (Ciudad Real). He studied flute with Antonio Arias and Kate Hill. He perfected his studies in courses with Andrés Carreres, Rafael López del Cid, Alain Marion, Raimond Guiot and Aurèle Nicolet. He has been member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain.

He was member of the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band. In 1987 he won first prize "Prix Alain Marion" in the international competition of Bilbao and is awarded in the national competition of the ONCE. In this same year his became professor of flute; which is ceased temporally nowadays.

He collaborates with the Cadaqués Orchestra, with which he has recorded under the direction of Sir Neville Marriner and Jaime Martin and the Andrés Segovia Orchestra. He also collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of Madrid, Virtuosos of Moscow and Valencia Community Orchestra. He performed in the National Auditorium chamber music cycle, Foundation Juan March, Reina Sofia Centre and he recorded for RNE. He is visiting professor at the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, the young Orchestra of the community of Madrid and the Youth Orchestra of the Basque country.

Since 1992 he is a member of the National Orchestra of Spain and since 2001 Professor at Musikene (higher Centre of music of Basque country).
