Ángel Soria, Valencia 1987, studied with Andrés Gomis and Rodrigo Vila at the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears (2010) and with Marcus Weiss both at the Hochschule für Musik Basel and at the Universität Basel, where he obtained master's degrees from the Master of Arts Musikalische Performance (2012) and Master of Arts Musikpädagogik (2014). Angel finished all his studies with honors.

During his training, he has received various scholarships and has been awarded in numerous interpreting competitions that have allowed him to grow as a musician. These grants and prizes come from institutions such as the Ministry of Education, the Valencian Institute of Music, Hochschule für Musk Basel, Lyra Stiftung, Nicati Stiftung, Kiefer Hablitzel Stiftung, Kultur Rahn Founds, C und A Kupper, Artists on the Road, Musical Youth of Spain , Contest Ramón Guzmán and BOG Stiftung.

He has collaborated with numerous orchestras such as the Baleares Orchestra, the Spanish Radio Orchestra, the Basler Orchestra Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Spain and the Orchestra of the Community of Madrid. As a soloist, he has performed concerts with Orquestra del Conservatori Superior de los Illes Balears, Kammerorchester Basel, IMPULS 2011, Madrid Community Orchestra, Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra, Thailand Philarmonik Orchestra or Chamber Academy Orchester, playing music by composers such as J Ibert, A. Glazunov, HP Kyburz, F. Ibarrondo and D. Milhaud. He has recorded for the Verso, Sigma Records and Deutsche Grammophon labels and has performed concerts and recitals in Europe, Asia and America.

In the field of chamber music, Ángel Soria acts in the front line with his quartet of saxophones "Sigma Project". With Sigma Ángel Soria has played in the most renowned contemporary music festivals in Spain and has worked together with the best Spanish composers.

Ange Sorial is professor in the Superior Conservatory of Castile and Leon.
