Firmly committed to the current creation, Alberto Chaves is part of the new generation of young Spanish interpreters involved with the diffusion of new music, both as a soloist and in their great activity in the field of chamber music.

Born in Almendralejo (Badajoz), he began his musical studies in the conservatory of his city. Later it moves to Cáceres, where it continues the same along with the professor David Alonso Serena. Between the years 2010 and 2014 he studied at the Conservatorio Superior de música de Castilla y León, under the latutelade Andrés Gomis Mora. Subsequently, he carried out postgraduate studies in the city of Bordeaux with the saxophonist Marie-Bernadette Charrier.

Within the camerístic field, is part of SIGMA Project, quartet of saxophones international reference of the contemporary music. In this project he has worked together with composers such as Alberto Posadas, Héctor Parra, José María Sánchez-Verdú and Simone Movio, among others, presenting new songs written for this training in various national and international festivals. Highlights include visits to countries such as Poland, France, Germany, United States, Romania, Mexico, Argentina ...

 He has been invited to give classes and to perform recitals in different conservatories of Spain, such as the Municipal Conservatory of Mota del Cuervo, Official Conservatory of Music of Almendralejo, Professional Conservatory of Music Francisco Guerrero of Seville, Superior Conservatory of Music of Navarra or the University Alfonso X The Wise.

 He has obtained different prizes such as the 1st and 2nd prize in the Xconcurso "Young musicians of Extremadura" in the specialty of chamber music and soloist, respectively (2010), and the 1st prize in the music contest of the Júventudes Musicales "Ciudad de Ávila" (2,013).

 At present, he performs interpretation and pedagogy studies at the Bordeaux-Aquitaine PESMD in Bordeaux (France).
